Local Area Information

Marazion is home to the iconic castle of St Michael's Mount, and offers stunning views across Mount's Bay towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End. The ancient market town has a fascinating history and claims to be the oldest town in Britain. It's a great place to visit with an abundance of restaurants, traditional pubs, shops, and art galleries.

There's an excellent sandy beach that's ideal for swimming and all kinds of water sports being a popular destination for sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing. Twice a year thousands of starlings roost in the RSPB Reserve at Marazion Marsh. Their arrival at dusk is a truly spectacular sight.

Marazion is perfect for exploring West Cornwall. The nearby fishing village of Porthleven and the town of St, Ives are a short drive away, or try the many fabulous beaches such as Praa Sands, Prussia Cove, Porthcurno, Lamorna, Porthkidney and Sennen Cove.
